1WHAT IS SCALP MICROPIGMENTATION (SMP)?
Innovative hair loss solution for Man and Women. Specialized pigment is carefully applied to epidermal layer of the skin replicating hair follicles and creating the illusion of closely shaved scalp.
2WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SMP AND REGULAR HEAD TATTOO?
It may sometimes be referred to as a hair tattoo, it is actually a form of permanent cosmetics. Tattoo is done by using ink and as it starts fading it turns blue or green. The pigment used for scalp is designed to maintain its intended color.
3WILL THE COLOR FADE?
With time, mostly several years the pigment can lighten and it may be necessary to have touch-ups to bring the appearance back to its original standard. Over exposure the sun will result in fading sooner.
4IS SMP REVERSABLE?
Yes. SMP can be removed with an electro-optic Q switched laser, which is used to heat and break-up the SMP pigmentation for easier absorption by phagocytes in the dermis. SMP is fairly easy to remove in most cases because the pigment is not deposited as deeply as normal tattoo ink.
5IS IT PAINFUL?
It depends on the individual. In some cases clients don’t experience any pain and another experience some discomfort on some areas of the scalp.
6IS THE TREATMENT EFFECTIVE ON INDIVIDUALS WITH LIGHT BROWN OR BLONDE HAIR?
Absolutely. We can match your exact hair color.
7HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO APPLY SMP?
In most case 2- 3 sessions are required, each couple of weeks apart.
8WHAT WILL MY SCALP LOOK LIKE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TREATMENT?
Expect instantly visible results as well as some redness, which will subside after 2-3 days.
9 HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Scalp micropigmentation cost will depend upon on hair loss level and if any scaring is present. Call or email for free consultation.
10WHAT IS THE GUARANTEE?
We have 12 months guarantee from the day of your last treatment
11HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO SHAVE?
It all comes down to personal tastes. Most clients tend to adopt a ‘buzzed’ look and shaving every 1-2 day
12WHAT IF I KEEP LOOSING HAIR?
With proper blending of SMP into your remaining hair noticeability is minimal. Treatment can also be topped-up if further hair loss becomes present to maintain fuller look
